Yelapa Mexico (near Puerto Vallarta)
We traveled by bus and headed south of Bucerias, past the airport, past the cruise ships, and ended up in old town Puerto Vallarta. We changed buses again and continued on the coastal highway 200 south to a very small mountain side village called Boca. We boarded a water taxi which took us south along the shore of rocks and tropical rolling mountains past many coves and villages.
Nestled in the southernmost cove of the world’s 7th largest bay, Banderas, lies the peaceful village of Yelapa, Jalisco, Mexico.
We explored the quaint rocky village, spent some time on the beach, just before we returned back to Bucerias the same way we traveled there in the morning.
